The New Group is comming

So the B-27 group of volunteers will be arriving on the 30th and it is an  interesting feeling.  It’s a feeling of shure terror and excitement.  This new group means that I am now a part of the older experienced group, and yet I don’t feel that way.  At most times I am sitting around wondering what I am supposed to be doing.  Then I think ab about myself 10 months ago, where I was with my language and with how I dealt with the Bulgarian culture and how I felt about being a Peace Corps Volunteer in general and I know that I have come a long way.  I keep talking about this, the funny milestones that you don’t really think about, and this new group of volunteers coming to Bulgaria really is a milestone of time.  Mid Service conference will be in July, and then there will be all the usual milestones, birthdays, Christmas, and all the other things.  All in all it just shows to me how fast time really does go in Peace Corps.  I do not feel like the same person that left Illinois all those months ago.  I am braver, stronger, and will probably have arthritis (can you get arthritis in your big toe).  I have made some lasting friendships and I can’t wait to see what the next 16 months has in store for me.
