Letter to my 30 Year old Self

Dear Jackie,

Now as you are writing this you are sitting in your kitchen in Bulgaria making yourself a cup of tea, asking yourself a question, Why?  Why are things the way they are?  Why did your life not go the way you planned or dreamed as a little girl?  Whatever happened to that strong handsome man?  Whatever happened to those children?  You are sitting waiting and wondering how your life got like this, and there is the answer.  You stopped waiting for your life to happen.  Thirty year old me, remember that you stopped waiting for your life to happen and you began to live it, and while you did make many mistakes and surely took the wrong path more than once, you lived your life the best way that you know how, and succeeded in the one goal you always had, to change the world.  So 30-year-old me, when you are pissed off at yourself and regretting any decisions that you have made, remember that all of them led to this time and this place, and that is something that should never be forgotten.

With gratitude,

26-year-old me

Jackie
