What’s With this Weather

It’s early August and I am sitting on my balcony writing the blog post wearing a sweatshirt.  Don’t get me wrong, I like this sweatshirt.  It’s the one the Ira bought for me in Greece using nothing but Euro coins.  Which was awesome by the way.  But still it wasn’t 2 weeks ago that I was sweating my butt off and today I am in a sweatshirt.  So now that my weather rant is over…

Things are alright here.  I have been in a strange mood that I can’t shake.  I don’t know what it is.  Maybe it’s the I miss my family and friends syndrome.  Peace Corps is a wonderful organization and I have made friends that I will love and cherish for the rest of my life and I don’t regret coming here.  I don’t want anyone to think that.  I just miss my family.  But maybe things will be better once more events start happening.  Camp Glow begins on the 21st, that’s really exciting.  I’ll be in VT starting the 17th for set up and things like that.  I go back to work on September 1st and school starts the 15th.  I will be teaching 19 hours with 5 different classes.  It will be a challenge, but I am looking forward to it.  I’m sorry that my summer hasn’t been more exciting for all of you in blog reader land.  Once school starts agaoin, I bet things will be more interesting.

I just started following your posts a few weeks ago. I enjoy reading them, though. I’m moving to Bulgaria for five months in January to pursue some work at the US Embassy in Sofia. It’ll be my second visit to BG and my first extended visit. :)

    • Bulgaria is a wonderful place. My little town is nothing like Sofia. There is a very different feeling, a deference in atmosphere between the large and small towns. Make sure you travel all over Bulgaria when you have the chance.
